TOXIE — PRIVACY POLICY

Toxie helps you understand what your clothes are made of. We built it to be
private by default: you can use it without an account, we don’t sell your
data, and we don’t run advertising trackers. This page explains what we
collect, why, and the control you have.


WHO WE ARE

Toxie is operated by Nordic Social Media AB (“we”, “us”). You can reach us any
time at herman@nordicsocialmedia.com.

USING TOXIE WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT
──────────────────────────────
When you first open Toxie we create an anonymous account so your scans and
preferences can sync and be restored. This isn’t linked to your name or email.
You can optionally create a full account with Apple, Google or email to back
up and sync across devices.

WHAT WE COLLECT
───────────────
  · Label scans. When you scan a care label, the photo and the text read from
    it are used to produce a clean score. Text recognition runs on your
    device; the image and text are sent to our servers only to generate the
    score, and the photo is not kept after scoring.
  · Your results. Scores, detected materials and finishes, and the items you
    add to your closet are stored so you can see them again.
  · Your preferences. Answers from the onboarding quiz and your concern
    settings (for example skin sensitivity or hormones) so we can tailor which
    considerations we emphasise.
  · Subscription status. Whether you have an active trial or plan.
  · Basic diagnostics. Minimal technical logs needed to keep the service
    running and secure.

HOW YOUR SCAN IS SCORED

To score a label we send the photo and recognised text to Google’s Gemini
model through our backend, hosted on Supabase. The score follows a fixed
rubric over what the label states. Your personal concerns adjust only which
points we emphasise and the wording — they never change the objective score.

WHO WE SHARE DATA WITH
──────────────────────
We share data only with the providers that make the app work:
  · Supabase — secure hosting, database and functions.
  · Google (Gemini) — AI scoring of the label you scan.
  · RevenueCat, Apple and Google — to manage subscriptions and process
    payments. Payment details are handled by Apple or Google; we never see
    your card number.
We do not sell your personal data or share it with advertisers.

ON-DEVICE FEATURES

  · Home screen widget. If you add the Toxie widget, it reads a small wardrobe
    summary stored on your device only.
  · Notifications. Reminders are optional and can be turned off any time in
    Settings.

YOUR CHOICES & RIGHTS
─────────────────────
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Account →
Privacy & data. Deletion is permanent and removes every scan, score and
preference. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access or
correct your data — email us and we’ll help.

DATA RETENTION
──────────────
We keep your scans and preferences until you delete them or delete your
account. Label photos are discarded right after scoring.

CHILDREN
────────
Toxie isn’t directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect
their data.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
──────────────────────
If we make material changes we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date
above.
